Dog Training Redmond WA
- Dog Training for Redmond, Kirkland, Bellevue, and the entire Seattle area
Your dog's ability to follow commands and to socialize well with others will play an important role in their life and your bond with them. All Things PAWSitive offers group training classes to provide you with positive reinforcement methods to guide your dog while enhancing your relationship. Our certified trainers use training techniques endorsed by the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior.
Our classes will teach you how to help your dog pay attention on cue, learn basic commands, wait politely at the door, come when called, walk nicely on a leash and greet people and other dogs politely.
Positive reinforcement training methods are the only scientifically proven safe and effective training methods for animals. Being that positive reinforcement is the most effective approach for training animals, we enjoy using this method for our dog daycare in Bellevue and the Seattle area. This method includes rewarding desirable behaviors in order to modify and eliminate undesirable ones. All Things PAWSitive will never use or recommend methods that use force, fear or pain because methods involving punishment change behaviors only temporarily and present many detrimental side effects. The Positive reinforcement training methods used at All Things PAWSitive, results in lasting behavioral modification.
The All Things PAWSitive approach meets and exceeds the professional recommendations of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, Animal Behavior Society, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), and International Forum of Applied Animal Behavior. Our dog training classes have the smallest class sizes in the area, giving you the personalized training you deserve.
PUPPY LIFE PROGRAM
Your new puppy is learning something every waking moment. The best time to start guiding that learning is the moment you bring the puppy home. The All Things PAWSitive PUPPY LIFE PROGRAM takes you through the first stages of your puppy's life. The course has two segments: Puppy Life I and Puppy Life II. The classes are specifically ordered to meet the changing needs and stages of your puppies development; physically, emotionally and behaviorally. Class sizes are 6 dogs maximum for individual attention and fill quickly so sign up early by calling us at 425-882-4303 or click here.
Puppy Life I is for puppies between 8 and 20 weeks old at the start of the class. This is the ideal time to start your dog's education off on the right foot. This training class focuses on teaching puppies in the way they learn best. We focus on teaching the behaviors most important to becoming a safe, happy, cherished member of the family throughout their life including: Come when called, sit on cue, lie down on cue, stay when told, walk politely on leash, greet people without jumping up on them, calm, quiet behavior when needed, and more. More important, this class teaches you how to teach your dog - not just in a classroom training session, but whenever and wherever you're interacting with him. We use the most innovative training based on solid scientific research. We want to help you guide your puppy to practice what you want him to learn. We want to help you have the dog of your dreams, one you will be proud to live with. Please call for current class availability and dates. Currently offered as a course of (6) classes $189, Monday's 7:15pm-8:45pm and Saturdays 9:30am-11:00am.

Does your dog bark and lunge at the end of his leash when he sees another dog? Does she cower or whine when another dog walks by? Or is he too distracted by other dogs in regular class? In this class, you will learn how to manage your dog while on a leash around other dogs. We will discuss impulse control, calming techniques, body language, and alternate behaviors. Each dog will have their own space behind a covered barrier. There will be no direct contact between dogs. The goal of this 6 class course is to be able to walk calmly within sight of another dog. This class is not intended for dogs that are reactive to humans. The first class is an orientation without your dog. You'll learn about equipment, body language, management, training and more for leash lunging dogs. You'll receive an overview of the program, written handouts, and instructions for what you need to do during the week to prepare you for class. We have the highest dog to instructor ratio in the area for this class (4:1)! Please call for availability and class dates. Currently offered as a course of (6) classes $189, Thursday evenings 7:15pm-8:45pm.
