Cara Neely, CPDT-KA, CDT

Cara is a Wisconsin native who has lived in the Redmond/Kirkland area for over 23 years. Always very passionate about working with animals, she decided to focus on her dream to help other pet owners have the best possible relationship with their dogs.

She graduated with honors from Animal Behavior College, is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT) title from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), and is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).

Cara is happily married with one human child, two dogs and a cat. Vixen a 3-year-old Cattle Dog-Rat Terrier mix, Rabbit a 4-year-old Rat Terrier, and Comet an 8-year old Snowshoe cat are all beloved rescue animals.

Cara has fostered several dogs from Motley Zoo and Saving Great Animals, (Vixen started off as a foster dog but became one of the family also known as a foster fail) and she has also volunteered at Homeward Pet Adoption Center in Woodinville.

As you can clearly see, animals are Cara’s passion. She also enjoys being outside, kayaking, hiking, swimming and going to her tiny cabin in the woods whenever she can.

At All Things PAWSitive, Cara offers in-home training, as well as private, semi-private, and group classes.

Janelle King, CDT

Jan is a Washington State native and has lived in the Mountlake Terrace area for over 10 years.

From the age of nine, when Jan got her first puppy and took that him to obedience class (where she was the youngest person in the class), she has loved and trained dogs. Jan’s dog (Jaxon), was a smart and energetic puppy and she was motivated to obtain an education and certification as a Dog Trainer to better help him develop. When Jan first found that she could hold Jaxon’s attention and that he understood what she was asking of him, she had one of life’s “lightbulb moments”. She knew that her passion for dog training and dog care would develop into her second career.

Jan is a graduate of Animal Behavior College and a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).  Jan lives with her miniature cattle dog, Jaxon, and her two rescued cats, Carlie and Cuckoo.

Jan has volunteered at Pasado’s Safe Haven, where she worked to introduce socialization and calming skills to a number of dogs, many of whom came from unhealthy, unsafe and even inhumane environments.  One of her proudest achievements was introducing positive reinforcement training to an elderly blind dog (Bella), who was able to eventually find her “forever home.”

Animals are Jan’s passion.  She also enjoys dog walking, reading, and visiting friends in beautiful Bend, Oregon.
